What is a liquid culture?

Liquid culture or LC is made up of water and sugar, making it a perfect medium that provides a sterile and nurturing environment for mycelium to grow.

Advantages of LCs

• Easy to keep sterile, contamination probability is low

• No intensive maintenance

• Fast growing

• Near-unlimited supply of mycelium

• Pure mycelium

• Can last up to 12 months if kept refrigerated

• Does not take up lots of space
