Instructions for Use
Preparation:
- Sanitize Your Workspace: Clean surfaces with disinfectant and use gloves and a mask to prevent contamination.
- Prepare Substrate: Lion's Mane mushrooms thrive on pasteurized straw, hardwood sawdust, or supplemented sawdust blocks. Ensure your substrate is clean and properly prepared.
Inoculation Steps:
- Shake the Syringe: Gently shake to evenly distribute the mycelium in the solution.
- Attach the Needle: Secure the sterile needle onto the syringe.
- Sterilize the Injection Point: Wipe down jar lids, bags, or inoculation ports with the included alcohol prep pad.
- Inject the Liquid Culture: Insert the needle through the inoculation port and inject 1-2 ml of liquid culture into the substrate.
- Seal and Store: Close your container or bag and place it in a clean, warm environment at 75°F - 85°F (24°C - 29°C).
Colonization Period:
- Allow 7-14 days for full colonization.
- Look for healthy white mycelial growth spreading evenly through the substrate.
- If contamination (discoloration or foul odors) occurs, discard the affected material.
Storage Instructions
- Short-term: Keep the syringe refrigerated at 35°F - 41°F (2°C - 5°C). Use within 2-3 months for best results.
- Long-term: Freezing is not recommended as it damages the mycelium.
