Melmac Revert is a genetic back-mutation (or phenotypic expression) of the legendary Melmac strain, itself a potent offshoot of the Penis Envy lineage. While Melmac mushrooms are known for their signature twisted, phallic shapes, the Revert form has returned to more “cubensis-like” morphology—i.e., open caps, longer stems, and higher spore production—while still maintaining much of the potency and intensity associated with the original strain.

History

The Melmac strain originated as a variation of Penis Envy, which is famous for its extraordinary potency and dense fruit bodies. Over time, some Melmac lines “reverted” to a more classic cubensis phenotype, producing mushrooms that looked more like regular cubes but retained the high psilocybin content of their predecessors. Cultivators began isolating this expression, branding it Melmac Revert, due to its balanced visuals, cognitive clarity, and elevated potency without the complications of low spore production.

Overview

Mushrooms are medium to large, with open golden caps, long, sturdy stems, and significant blue bruising. Colonization is moderate, and spore production is much better than in classic Penis Envy-type strains.
