2. Prepare Substrate: Reishi mushrooms grow best on hardwood substrates like oak or maple sawdust, hardwood logs, or supplemented sawdust blocks. Ensure your substrate is sterilized and cooled.

Inoculation Steps:

1. Shake the Syringe: Gently shake to evenly distribute the Reishi mycelium in the solution.
2. Attach the Needle: Remove the syringe cap and securely attach the sterile needle provided.
3. Sterilize the Injection Point: Clean the inoculation point (jar lid, bag port, or log hole) with the alcohol prep pad.
4. Inject the Liquid Culture: Slowly inject 1-2 ml of the liquid culture per inoculation site.
5. Seal and Incubate: Seal your jars, bags, or logs and place them in a clean, warm environment between 70°F - 80°F (21°C - 27°C).

Colonization Period:

• Allow 14-30 days for full colonization, depending on the substrate and conditions.
• Look for healthy, white mycelium spreading throughout the substrate. Reishi may form antler-like structures early on.

Storage Instructions

• Short-term: Store the syringe in a refrigerator at 35°F - 41°F (2°C - 5°C). Use within 2-3 months for best results.
• Long-term: Do not freeze, as freezing damages the mycelium.
